Circle Up Your Campus is a four-week campaign to raise awareness about LGBT rights on college and university campuses nationwide. We believe that students, staff and faculty can make a difference in how campus communities perceive and support LGBT rights, and we believe that campus communities can in turn impact the larger city and state communities to which they belong.
By wearing shirts available at finebyme.org that proclaim “gay? fine by me.” or “gay marriage? fine by me.” participants in the campaign can easily and visibly show support for LGBT rights while engaging other students on campus.
Participating is simple! Just do the following:
Contact us here and let us know what you plan to do. We encourage organizers at individual colleges and universities participating in the campaign to do what works best on those campuses. Is it a rally? Is it a voter registration? Is it some sort of public service to the campus community? Whatever gets you out, visible, and relevant to your campus community – we want you doing that.
Order your shirts. The Fine By Me shirts allow you to be visible participants in raising awareness around LGBT issues, whether it’s merely the acceptance articulated in the “gay? fine by me.” shirt or the support for gay marriage voiced in our latest shirt.
Let people know. Atticus Circle will work with you to let the media know about your event, but be sure and let everyone on your mailing lists, in your social media circles, and in your circle of friends and acquaintances know what you have planned. We want you to make as big an impact as possible with your event.
