In the wake of Secretary of Defense Robert Gate's letter to House Armed Services Committee chairman Ike Skelton affirming, "I strongly oppose any legislation that seeks to change this policy prior to the completion of this vital assessment process," supporters for the immediate repeal of this law join forces and call for reinforcing the effort to get the law changed this year
