Defense Department takes major steps in limiting damage caused by DADT

Secretary Gates announced the changes today, reiterating his statement back in February that the repeal of the 1993 DADT law is inevitable. Only generals or admirals will now have the authority to initiate fact-finding inquiries, and third-party hearsay and accusations are no longer acceptable.
